Plane tickets for Christmas
Hello all-

First of all, is right now a good time to be searching for airline tickets to go home for Christmas?

If so, I'm looking for plane tickets from Incheon to Dallas Fort Worth, and I'm finding some for around $1,550. Is anyone else finding anything cheaper? Even if you aren't traveling to DFW, if you've found something cheaper, let me know where you found it!

Any help would be appreciated.

I always use Kayak, but it's good to do a comparison search with Expedia, too. I have found similarly priced flights on Expedia as Kayak's lowest but with better connections/travel times. Usually though, Kayak prevails at finding the best.

The general word on airfare is that days of really good deals are behind us so the best bet is to book early. Tips include flying on less busy days and searching for your tickets in the middle of the week (Tues-Wed) as that's when special fares are often released. There's no saying that airlines won't announce some special deal closer to the date, but they're continuing to fly fewer flights with more people (often overbooked even) and so if you really want to go somewhere and money's an issue, you might want to take the best you can find this week or next.

Good luck!

thank you! I fly at most 2-3 times/ year (normally just 1 or 2), so I don't keep as up to date as I should. I'm buying my ticket right away!

Also, I've seen that www.onetravel.com is ok.

What fictitiousfact said. Also, you might want to try a travel agent. Doesn't cost you anything to ask and you may luck out. It never has for me but several of my friends have found deals.

Fyi, my tickets home to Louisiana from Incheon generally cost around $1500 return. When I've found cheaper tickets advertised it's usually because they have left off taxes/fees.

thank you! I just wanted to make sure that was a normal price.
